Be Open Be Scrigno - Elisa Groppi

..I like what I do, I like the contact with the outside and I love to pour all my enthusiasm and commitment into my work

Elisa, tell us something about yourself:
I am alas, a 42-year-old from Piacenza, who often lives in Romagna and who is trying to learn the Romagna dialect (with modest results, editor's note).
Those who know me say that I’m prone to doing crazy things, in a nutshell, I like adrenaline!

How long have you worked at Master?
I’ve been at Master since January 2002 and I’ve held various positions. I started out as a pantograph operator, then I was in the warehouse, and ended up in sales and marketing in 2005.
My experience in the factory was useful for me to properly learn about the product and its components as well as gaining a deeper understanding of the company dynamics.

Tell us about your job and your team:
My team is made up of a really smart group of people. We’ve had a few difficult times at Master and it’s thanks to our bond that we’ve been much better able to cope with it.
At the moment in Piacenza, my closest colleagues are Mirella and Fabio, while at Scrigno, Claudia is my support. She has managed to learn all the product “secrets” in no time at all.
In addition to placing orders and writing up estimates, our work includes support for the sales network. We also have daily and direct contact with customers who often rely on our skills to make their choices.

How has your job changed since Master joined the Scrigno Group?
As I mentioned before, Master went through some stormy times and it was a relief when Scrigno Group joined us. However, it’s not always easy to work in such a well-structured company, and we struggled, especially at the beginning, in adapting to the various company mechanisms.
We were really enthusiastic about it though, right from the start and this meant that everyone did their best to integrate us and finally make us feel part of something.

From a professional point of view, what is your best quality and what is your worst flaw?
It’s not me who needs to answer that! If we interviewed the customers and agents, I’m sure they’d give a more accurate picture than me!!!
All I can say is that I like what I do, I like the contact with the outside and I love to pour all my enthusiasm and commitment into my work... often it won’t be enough but I think that you can sense an affection!!

What are your buzzwords, in your personal and professional life?
Organisation, control, order nd a hint of creativity (this can be confirmed by our technical department, who I often ask for somewhat creative solutions: e.g. trapezoidal security doors... I’ll leave it to your imagination how much they love me!).
From a personal point of view: organisation to the nth degree to be able to manage a teenage daughter even from a distance!!!

What are your passions and hobbies?
There are two ELISAS: the reckless one, who is crazy for adrenaline-pumping activities (iron paths, rafting, trekking, parachute jumps, diving) and the grown-up one, who likes to visit museums (my favourite exhibitions are those of Banksy and Frida Kahlo), being a tourist in the cities of art, walking in a forest in the mountains, reading a good book all alone.
Basically, I’m not the easiest person to deal with!!! 😊
