Living comfort is “at home” with CCE
Chronoseal automatic sealing strips enhance the performance of Scrigno solutions
The focus on living comfort stands out among the most recent challenges in the field of construction and architecture, and is closely related to the Indoor Environmental Quality indicator. This is a set of parameters that classify the quality of interior environments, capable of influencing the perception and psycho-physical balance of the occupants. This paradigm shift, favoured by the evolution of European legislation and the importance that indoor spaces increasingly play in everyone's life, has promoted a different approach to design. Four decisive parameters are to be met: thermal and acoustic comfort, lighting quality and air quality, in addition to the reduction of energy consumption. In this sense, CCE offers the patented Chronoseal range of automatic under door sealing strips. Discrete and minimalist, they integrate harmoniously with Scrigno systems and improve their performance, for a superior quality perceived in confined spaces.
This is a unique device of its kind, which lowers the sealing strip to the ground a few seconds after the door is closed, thus favouring a reduction in its wear and tear. Versatile and simple to install, the CCE component also ensures the elimination of friction and the consequent noise during entry and exit, making the doors with Chronoseal suitable for the most delicate surfaces, such as carpeted or wooden floors. The family consists of Chronosoft, which is characterised by its light movement and the new Chronoclick, with delayed snap descent. To complete the range, CCE presents Chronoair, the side terminals that guarantee total continuity between frame and door, creating a highly efficient air / water / wind sealing system and the Chronofloor floor sill. Low profile and resistant, with its 4 mm height, Chronofloor is in line with the regulations on escape routes and architectural barriers, configuring itself as a useful accessory for entrances or for applications where the floor is uneven.
The automatic sealing strips are tested in accredited European laboratories, confirming their performance and applicability on certified fire resistance systems.
Insulation from noise pollution is a key feature: in this sense, Chronoseal is able to achieve a sound reduction of up to 51.5 dB, by creating a physical barrier between the door and the floor, designed to maintain privacy and muffle sounds coming from outside or from adjacent rooms.
Furthermore, the CCE automatic sealing strips are designed to be ideal complements for the Essential REI 30 and REI 60 flush-to-the-wall fire doors, being certified for a fire resistance of up to 120 minutes.
Finally, Chronoseal, if applied to security doors such as Svevo, becomes a further plus for improving thermal comfort, preventing the passage of air currents, favouring warmer rooms in winter and cooler ones in summer with the resulting energy saving, as well as the additional superior protection from external agents.
